Laura Stelson

Laura Stelson is a Ph.D. candidate in the programs for Anthropology and Human Dimensions of Natural Resources and the Environment. She holds an MA in Pre-Columbian Studies and Ethnology from the University of Bonn (Germany) and a BA in Anthropology and German from the University of Oregon. Laura has spent much of the last ten years working on archaeological projects in Germany, Central America, and throughout the western United States. Since 2016, she has been working primarily at Katmai National Park, Alaska. Her research interests include the application of geospatial and remote-sensing approaches to the reconstruction of past environments and the ways that people interacted with them.
