Olivia Spencer

Olivia Spencer is a first year M.S. + PhD student in the Department of Geography at Penn State. Olivia holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from William & Mary where she also completed a post-baccalaureate GIS Fellowship. Prior to coming to Penn State, she worked as a geospatial research assistant with NASA DEVELOP where she used remote sensing techniques and geospatial analysis to model flood susceptibility, shoreline change, and LULC classification to assist community partners in capacity building and science communication. Olivia’s research interests broadly include remote sensing and geospatial technology applications in landscape dynamics, human-environment interactions, sustainability, and climate change.
