Marissa Kopp

Marissa Kopp is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Ecology at Penn State. Her current research interests include carbon and nutrient cycling in forests, multifunctionality of riparian buffers, human dimensions of natural resource management, and science communication. Prior to joining Penn State, she received a BS in Environmental Science and in English with a concentration in Professional Writing from Elizabethtown College. Her previous experiences include research in noenicitinoid impacts on Chesapeake Bay oysters, teaching developmental writers at a community college, and crafting outreach materials for an agricultural education center.
