Ledeebari Banuna

Ledeebari Banuna is a MS-PhD student in the dual title Rural Sociology and International Agriculture and Development programs at Penn State. Her interests are interdisciplinary and include plant biodiversity conservation, decolonial and sustainable development in Africa, indigenous rights, food sovereignty, and agroecology. Her research focuses on addressing the viability of indigenous African crops for improving hunger, poverty, and socioeconomic conditions as well as reframing the current discourse on food security and agricultural policy.
